Urging Eligible Residents to Enroll in SNAP

Over half a million residents eligible for SNAP (formerly food stamps) are not enrolled. DCF created a comprehensive ad campaign including a user-friendly, mobile-optimized website to reach these residents and inform them of their rights. DCF recruited, vetted, and fostered trusting relationships with actual SNAP recipients, conducting interviews where recipients shared personal, compelling stories about how the program changed their lives. This unique campaign transformed the perception of public assistance, humanizing it through real stories from everyday people.
