Get Vaccinated. Get Back to School.

Building on the success of “Ask Questions. Get Answers. Vaccinate.,” DCF continued its collaboration with the NYC Department of Health to help parents and caregivers feel informed and confident about childhood vaccinations. “Get Vaccinated. Get Back to School.” extends the campaign with a timely back-to-school message, reminding families that keeping children up to date on their vaccines is an important part of preparing for childcare, 2K, and school. Vaccines help protect children from serious diseases, including measles, polio, chickenpox, and the flu, while helping keep school communities healthy.

Building on the family-centered storytelling of the original campaign, scenes begin in a stylized animated world that reflects the confusion and misinformation parents may encounter around childhood vaccines. As questions are answered and misconceptions are cleared up, the visuals transition into live-action moments, reinforcing the shift from uncertainty to confidence. Parents and caregivers are encouraged to turn to their child’s doctor for clear, trusted guidance and take the next step to get their children vaccinated and ready for the school year. Designed to reach families across New York City’s diverse communities, the campaign appears across subway placements, digital media, newspapers, and community spaces, with materials available in more than a dozen languages.
